Biographie
Andres Perez-Uribe received his PhD in Computer Science from the EPFL, Switzerland. He is currently Professor at the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland. He is a member of the IICT Institute of the HEIG-VD. The purpose of his current research is to help people to deal with the increasing availability of data, by using bio-inspired machine learning algorithms to make sense out of it and come up with original applications. His recent projects in the domains of Health and Engineering include: ACTIDOTE (Activity as an antidote to illness exacerabtion among handicap people), Smart-DAYS (Smart Distributed daily living ActivitY-recognition Systems), Mnemosys (A memory help system for elderly people), and PharMEA.
